Installation on Windows (PC)

The installation usually is self-explaining - just follow the instructions during the setup. Nevertheless a detailled describtion is also available.

To install the software, place or insert the supplied driver CD into the CD-ROM drive of your computer. If the installation software does not start automatically, execute the file autorun.exe on the CD.

• Wait until the setup window opens and follow the instructions.

• If required, the installation software of the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 will be started. .NET is a software platform developed by Microsoft for the development and execution of programs, upon which the sceye applications are based. Simply click on "Continue". The installation is fully automatic and requires no further information.

• After this, the actual sceye software setup will start. You may choose your language and the installation folder. Usually the proposed installation folder can be accepted.

• Wait until the installation procedure has been completed.

• Only now should the document camera be connected to a free USB 2.0 port of the computer. At the lower right-hand corner of the screen, a message "New hardware found" will appear and the window of the Windows Hardware Assistent will open.

• Click on "Continue" and when asked for a Windows update, choose the option "No, not this time".

• After this choose "Install software automatically".

• When the message "Software successfully installed" appears, select "Complete" and wait for the message "New hardware found and operational" which will appear in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. The installation is now complete and sceye is operational.

• Start icons for sceye-Explorer should now be visible on the windows desktop, including two demonstration versions of sceye applications.

• To test the installation, sceye-Explorer may be started. The document camera should now light up and a live image of the scan area should be visible in the sceye panel.

 

First disconnect the camera from the USB port.

Start the uninstallation by clicking on "All programs -> sceye -> Uninstall sceye" in the Windows start menu. The uninstallation is fully automatic and requires no further information.

Installation on Mac

Thankfully, installation is easy! Simply start the file sceye-Workbench.dmg from your installation CD or download the newest file from our website. Drag the icon into the applications folder and that's it. You will now find a red icon with the name sceye-Workbench in the applications area. Start this by clicking and there you go!
